A single fingerprint left behind on a pair of sunglasses has proven to be the undoing of a suspected burglar who allegedly made off with an estimated $150,000 in jewelry from a Miami residence. The Break-In at Silver Bluff Estates
The incident unfolded on May 26, 2026, at a residence located in the 2600 block of Southwest 23rd Avenue in Miami’s upscale Silver Bluff Estates neighborhood. According to the Miami Police Department, a woman arrived at the home shortly before noon and immediately sensed something was terribly wrong when she heard a bedroom door slam unexpectedly.
Upon further inspection, the woman discovered the home had been completely ransacked. She quickly noticed that a bedroom window had been shattered, prompting her to call one of the homeowners with alarming news.
“Danny, you’ve been robbed,” the woman told the homeowner over the phone after discovering the broken window and the state of disarray throughout the residence.
