The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for two drivers who struck multiple pedestrians during an illegal street takeover in the early hours of Sunday morning, leaving several people injured at the intersection of Northwest 25th Street and 76th Avenue.
Multiple Victims Struck During Chaotic Scene
According to investigators, deputies responded to reports of an illegal street takeover and discovered several injured individuals at the scene. A black sedan reportedly struck two women before the driver maneuvered around the victims and fled without stopping to help.
The situation turned even more tragic when a Good Samaritan who rushed to help the injured women was also struck by a second vehicle. Deputies described the vehicle as an older model gold Ford Expedition with a dark gray lower body. This same vehicle reportedly ran over one of the female victims who was already down before speeding away from the scene.
Both Drivers Fled Without Offering Assistance
Neither driver stopped to render aid to the victims, authorities confirmed. The hit-and-run incidents highlight the dangerous and illegal nature of street takeovers, which have become an ongoing concern for law enforcement across South Florida.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of either driver is urged to contact the MDSO Midwest District General Investigations Unit at 305-471-2800 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477, where tips can be submitted anonymously.
